While it is true that a yeast infection can be contagious under certain circumstances, it is more often our own behavior and lifestyle that is responsible for our yeast infections. So looking at the prevention of yeast infections is very important.
You can even say it is us who are giving ourselves the yeast infections through bad hygiene, bad eating habits and wearing the wrong clothes.
On very important fact to name here is that bad toilet hygiene can result in a yeast infection.
Here we have to look at two aspects:
1. Keeping the toilet hygienically clean
2. How we wipe ourselves after we have used the toilet.
The first of the two is pretty self explanatory, but the wiping part, even though unpleasant to speak about, is often the culprit.
Make very sure you wipe yourself from the front to the back after you have used the toilet. If you do not do that you are in fact infection yourself with a yeast infection. It is very easily for the Candida Albicans fungus, the one that gives us the yeast infections, to spread from the anus to the vagina if you are not careful. This can then, of course, result in a yeast infection.
